Illinois Firefighters Cancer Risk Study (IFCRS)

Summary

Cancer is the leading cause of death in the fire service. The Illinois Fire Service Institute is answering the call to protect firefighters against this threat.

Our Research Team has launched the Illinois Firefighters Cancer Risk Study (IFCRS) to identify occupational exposures that might lead to cancer risk factors.

Together, we can use research as a weapon to fight the firefighter cancer epidemic.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

Participation is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.

Privacy is our priority. Participant information is secure and will not be shared.

There are many reasons to support the IFCRS, including making a difference for the next generation of firefighters. The IFSI Research Team is fully committed to this shared battle but we cannot do it alone. Participants are needed to provide blood and urine samples as we embark on this momentous study.

LET’S FIGHT THIS CANCER BATTLE TOGETHER!
