Course Description

The Wildland Fire: Initial Attack Considerations and Tactical Water Use course is geared toward seasoned firefighters and company officers. The topics covered will address the following considerations when arriving at a grass, brush, field or woodland (wildland) fire: size-up, safety, initial tactical operations, structure protection and tactical water use. Students will experience classroom presentations, scenario-based exercises and hands-on water handling evolutions to meet course objectives.
