This course examines the tragic Line-of-Duty Death (LODD) of Lieutenant Garrett Ramos to provide critical insights for firefighter safety and incident command. Using actual audio and video from the scene, participants will review the circumstances surrounding the incident and analyze the subsequent investigation conducted by Illinois OSHA. The course identifies key lessons learned and translates them into actionable, realistic measures that can be implemented at structure fires to reduce the risk of firefighter injury or death.
